“科学”伪装的利用:对美国“科学神创”运动的反思

Utilization of “Science Cloak”— Introspection of American Creation Science Movement

摘要:

“科学神创”运动是20世纪60至80年代发生在美国的一场利用科学来证明神创论的宗教运动。通过历史梳理与文献研究的方法,笔者对这一宗教运动的始末进行分析,试图展示该宗教运动是如何利用“科学”形象作为外套与论战武器,并最终为广大公众所接受的过程。最终,基于“科学神创”运动中科学与伪科学的区别、伪科学对于科学的利用以及科学与公众之间的关系,结合当下中国存在的科学谣言,对如何能够有效避免伪科学论断的再次流行进行了思考。

Abstract:

The Creation Science Movement was a religious movement in the United States that used science to prove creationism in the 1960s and 1980s. By combing the whole story of this religious movement, the article attempts to show how a religious movement can make use of the “science” image as a weapon of outerwear and controversy and ultimately be accepted by the public. Finally, based on the analysis of difference between science and pseudoscience, the utilization of science image by pseudoscience and the relationship between science and the public in the Creation Science Movement, related with the scientific rumors existing in China now, this article tries to think over how to effectively avoid the false scientific conclusion to be popular again.
