民国时期科普杂志的传播维度与传播成效研究(1915—1949)

摘要:

1840年,鸦片战争的炮声轰开了满清王朝的大门,中国精英阶层面临着如何学习和理解西方的文明,以及如何存续本国文明的问题。在这样的背景下,中国的有识之士渴望寻觅和探索一条振兴中国的发展与研究路径。随着民族复兴与科学救国思潮的兴起,科普杂志成为科学启蒙的重要媒介之一。科普杂志的传播者借助“转译”策略,建构科学且规范的文本、直观且易读的图像,通过构建四重传播维度,初步培育及形塑了大众的科学素养,吸引全年龄段的公民参与科学活动,结成科学界、企业界、大众共同参与的科学传播网,以及由人和非人行动者共同参与的传播网络。本文试图从行动者网络理论出发,揭示民国时期科普杂志在传播维度与传播效能方面的成效与不足,为今天的科学传播活动带来有益的启示与借鉴。

Abstract:

With the national rejuvenation and the rise of the ideological trend of saving the country through science, popular science magazines have become one of the important media of scientific enlightenment. With the help of the strategy of “translation”, the disseminators of popular science magazines construct scientif ic and standardized texts and intuitive and easy-to-read images. By constructing four communication dimensions, they initially cultivate and shape the scientific lit eracy of the public, attract citizens of all ages to participate in scientific activities, and form a scientific communication network with the participation of scientific circles, business circles and the public, as well as a communication network with the participation of human and non-human actors. Based on the actor network theory, this paper attempts to reveal the achievements and shortcomings of popu lar science magazines in the Republic of China in terms of communication dimensionsandcommunicationefficiency,andbringbeneficialenlightenmentandref erencefortoday’s scientificcommunicationactivities.
