Abstract:This paper first analyzed the cases of teacher training carried out by science and technology museums at home and abroad through literature research, then through the questionnaire survey of 153 pre service science teachers and 115 in-service science teachers, analyzed their training status, problems, needs and expectations with SPSS, and found that science teachers agree with the science and technology museum to carry out teacher training. Then, through field research and online interviews with 12 staff members from 7 science and technology museums, NVivo was used to analyze their resource advantages and power sources for carrying out science teacher training, and it was considered that it was a natural plan for science and technology museums to carry out teacher training. Finally, the role and role of science museums in pre service and in-service training for science teachers were proposed: science museums could serve as practical training bases for pre service teachers, and science museums could serve as off campus classrooms for in-service teachers. Science museums could help pre service teachers cultivate teaching skills and broaden their horizons, guide pre service teachers to establish correct scientific essence and professional identity, promote in-service teachers to think and update teaching concepts, and form a training and exchange platform for library school cooperation.
